Thomas Schiemann has been a member of the Executive Board of VDMA e.V. since 2023 and, in this role, is responsible for the Printing and Paper Technology and Security Systems trade associations, among others. The business graduate began his professional career at Deutsche Telekom in Bonn, where he most recently was in charge of the Business Development Industry 4.0 team and responsible for the digitalisation of industrial value chains. At the end of 2019, Mr Schiemann was appointed to the management of DIN e.V. in Berlin. There, he was responsible for setting up the newly created ‘Strategic Partner and Customer Relations’ division and focussed in particular on cooperation with medium-sized family businesses.
